Skills for Digital Jobs Program
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), in partnership with Refactory Academy, is calling on young people aged 18 – 35 across Uganda to apply for a fully sponsored opportunity to gain advanced digital skills that are shaping the global job market.
This initiative, titled “Skills for Digital Jobs,” is designed to equip 150 young Ugandans with advanced competencies in fields such as Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Software Development, and more, with a structured pathway into employment or entrepreneurship. Each course is aligned with employer and industry needs and includes mentorship and industry exposure. The program will prioritize gender inclusion (60% female participation) and ensure rural reach, targeting youth from underserved and underrepresented areas of Uganda.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this program, you must meet the following criteria:
Age: 18-35 years
Gender Goal: 60% Female, 40% Male
Location: Rural and Urban Uganda
Skills Requirement: Basic digital literacy, a strong interest in building a digital career and the ability to commit your time.
Tools: A functional computer and stable internet.
Program Start dates
Web development (Python/JavaScript): 2nd May
Advanced Programs (Data Science, Product Design, Apprenticeship): 2nd June
Cyber Security, AI/ML, Blockchain, Cloud Computing: 7th July
