Program Overview
In this course participants are introduced to the field of computing security. The course covers an extensive overview of the various branches of computing security, cyber-security concepts and issues that are critical to solving problems in the computing security domain. Learners will learn how to detect threats, protect systems and networks and anticipate potential cyber-attacks. The course also covers strong backgrounds in networking and systems administration, cryptography, information assurance fundamentals, confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Holds a degree or certification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
Have knowledge of software engineering languages i.e., Javascript, Python, Java etc
Are self-taught developers with proven practical experience and passion for technology.

Mode of Assessment
Students will be assessed based on the following
- At least 80% attendance is required of every student
- Practical/Hands-on experience demonstrated during instruction hours
- Continuous assessments through tests and assignments delivered by instructor
- One hour final assessment (30%)
Requirement For Pass
Any student who scores at least 75% across cumulated assignments of 70% and Final Exam of 30% will have passed. Scores below 75% are considered Failure.

Requirements:
- Basic understanding of computing
- All instruction is conducted in English. Fluent knowledge of English is a requirement
